Funky Design Tools is run by Rron Imami, based in the United Kingdom, who is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at hello@funkydesigntools.com.

This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what your rights are. It applies to the funkydesigntools.com website and the tools on it.

The tools run entirely in your browser. The images and files you work with are processed on your own device and are never uploaded to us: we never see them, so we cannot store them. There are no accounts and no payments on this site. Our page analytics use no cookies and identify nobody. The only personal data we hold is what you type into the comment form, if you choose to.

The files you process

Your images and files are handled by code running in your browser. They stay on your device and are not personal data we hold, because they never reach us.

Things saved in your browser

Some tools can remember your work between visits: Brand Kits, saved campaign templates, a queue you were part-way through, and the optional device vault. All of that is stored in your own browser's storage on your own device. It is never sent to us, it does not follow you to another browser, and you can clear it at any time from the device storage page or from your browser settings.

Comments

If you leave a comment, we receive the comment text, the optional name and optional email address you typed, the time it arrived, your browser type and the country your connection came from. We do not store your IP address. We use this to read the comment, decide whether to publish it, and, if you gave an email, to reply to you. Published comments show only the name you gave, or “Anonymous”, and the text. The email is never published and never used for anything else. Our lawful basis is your consent, given when you press the button, and our legitimate interest in keeping the site free of spam.

Page analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which tools people use, which countries visits come from and which sites link to us. It sets no cookies and does not identify or track individuals; it works from a short-lived, anonymised hash that cannot be turned back into you. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used.

Technical and log data

Our hosting provider, Vercel, automatically records standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, which helps keep the site secure and working. These logs are kept for a short time and are not used to identify you.

We set no cookies. The only thing stored in your browser is the data the tools keep for you, described above, which is placed only when you use the feature that needs it. Full detail is in our Cookie Policy.

We do not sell personal data. We share the limited data above only with the providers that make the site work:

• ✺Vercel: hosting, delivery of the website and cookieless page analytics.
• ✺GitHub: the private, access-controlled store where unpublished comments wait to be read.
• ✺Ko-fi: only if you choose to leave a tip, on Ko-fi's own site under Ko-fi's own privacy policy. We never receive your payment details.

These providers act on our behalf under their own data protection commitments. Some may process data on servers outside the United Kingdom; where they do, transfers are covered by recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

A published comment stays on the site until you ask us to remove it or we take the page down. We keep the record of comments we have read, including any email given, so that we can reply and recognise repeat spam, and we delete it on request. Hosting logs are kept by Vercel for a short period. Analytics data is aggregated and holds nothing about you individually.

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy in a portable form. In practice the only such data is a comment you left: email hello@funkydesigntools.com and we will remove or correct it. We will respond within one month.

Comments waiting to be read are held in a private store that only we can access, over encrypted connections. The site is served over HTTPS. Because your files never leave your device, the most sensitive data you work with is protected by the simplest measure of all: we never have it.

The site is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has left a comment, tell us and we will remove it.

We may update this policy from time to time, for instance when we add a tool that works differently. The date at the top shows the current version, and a significant change will be noted on the site.

For any privacy question, email hello@funkydesigntools.com. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we would welcome the chance to put it right first.
